In September 2007 I spotted an ad on CL while looking for a kayak. This boat was for sale, located in my own town, and was cheap - cheaper than any of the kayaks I was looking to buy. I had no idea there was such a thing - a boat with fins. The ad called it a 'bat boat'!I talked my husband into going with me to look at it and it looked good. There were some title issues, so I put a deposit on it, and about two weeks later I had the paperwork in my hand, and went back to pay for it and bring it home.
I know nothing about boats. I've never been on a boat. I've never wanted a boat. I do like to fish, and I have played around in kayaks or inflatable rafts, but a boat is a whole other world. Still, there is is, in my driveway. I began researching it and found the best information at www.fiberglassics.com and soon came to the conclusion that it is very similar to a GlassMagic Playmaster. Another member on that site has one exactly like it, in Idaho, and he pegged his as a 1961, so I will call mine the same.
